Questions to address

Which content should be archived, which deleted?

I propose to move most old pages into the Archive: namespace, and to delete pages which have no obvious value, using an initial deletion template.--Eloquence (talk) 12:44, 25 July 2016 (CEST)

This is now ongoing. See Template:Delete and Category:Nominated for deletion.--Eloquence (talk) 01:38, 12 August 2016 (CEST)

What is the wiki for?

I propose that it could become the primary purpose of freeculture.org, a place to collaborate for individuals working on free culture related initiatives: sharing their successes/failures, looking for others to join their projects, and adopting shared practices that make sense.

Over time, this could transform into more of a formal incubator for projects with a 501(c)(3) to support it, but that could be a bit down the road.--Eloquence (talk) 12:44, 25 July 2016 (CEST)

A first stab at this at Projects.--Eloquence (talk) 01:35, 12 August 2016 (CEST)

How do I become an admin to help with projects like Wiki:Cleanup?

The standard process for this is to self-nominate or nominate others on a page like Wiki:Administrators. If there are no objections, I'll refactor that page to make that possible.--Eloquence (talk) 12:44, 25 July 2016 (CEST)

Done. ;-)--Eloquence (talk) 01:36, 12 August 2016 (CEST)

Is this only in English?

Good question. It shouldn't be, really, but we'll need to set up some templates and such to aid with navigation to other languages, if we want to keep it all in one wiki.--Eloquence (talk) 12:47, 25 July 2016 (CEST)
